St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic High School are currently seeking a Teacher of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science teaching across the relevant key stages, supporting pupils in developing their knowledge and understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing and tracking pupil progress, and maintaining high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

The post holder will fulfil the professional duties of a School Teacher as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document, contribute positively to the Catholic life and mission of the school, and support pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), alongside more experienced practitioners, are welcomed. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic teaching professional who can work as part of our dedicated and exceptional team. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to meet the Teachers’ Standards.

All classroom teachers will contribute to the curriculum and year teams in supporting the school’s mission statement and achieving its aims. As a professional within a Catholic School, you will be expected to enhance the life of the school by delivering and developing high quality teaching and learning, contributing to the work of the teams of teaching and support staff, being reflective about your own practice and effectiveness: sharing with, and learning from the work of others, and constantly seeking ways to improve through innovation and research.
