St Cuthbert's RC High School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Faculty Leader for Expressive Arts. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at a time of ambition, growth and continued development across our schools. This leadership role offers the opportunity to lead and shape a vibrant Expressive Arts faculty, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Purpose of the role: As Faculty Leader for Expressive Arts, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the faculty, ensuring excellence in quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership. You will lead, inspire and develop colleagues, shaping a clear vision for the faculty and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning. The role includes responsibility for curriculum design, staff development, performance monitoring, and securing strong outcomes for all pupils. You will play a key role in whole-school improvement, working closely with senior leaders to drive forward teaching and learning priorities and ensuring the faculty contributes fully to the life of the school.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of improving outcomes.
- Has proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate, inspire and develop others.
- Has a deep understanding of curriculum development, assessment and raising achievement across KS3 and KS4.
- Can analyse performance data effectively and implement successful improvement strategies.
- Has the ability to lead strategically across multiple subject areas within Expressive Arts.
- Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils access a rich and ambitious curriculum.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with staff, pupils, parents and stakeholders.
