Salary: Grade 3, £18,067 per annum. £13.26 per hour. 31.25 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year. Temporary until December 2026. Required for September 2026. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:45 until 3:30 pm, ½ hour lunch each day.
The Governors of St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint one enthusiastic, creative, motivated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to class teacher, individual children, whole class support and group interventions as necessary.
- The successful applicant will be based with one class for the majority of the time but could work with other children as required.
- Flexibility is essential as our Teaching Assistants move around school to suit the needs of children.
- Teaching Assistants at St Cuthbert’s also provide lunchtime cover on a daily basis.
Person specification / Qualities:
- You must enjoy working as part of a team and have a great sense of humour.
- You must be determined to help our children progress and have the initiative needed to personalise support.
- You will have excellent behaviour management and a nurturing approach.
- You will have the opportunity to make a real difference and work with a strong team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of a range of interventions is desirable. Please state on the application which interventions you are trained in or have delivered.
- Your literacy and numeracy skills must be of a high standard with good understanding of the national curriculum in both subjects.
- Training and support will be provided as required.
