The predicted salary is between 28000 - 28000 £ per year.

Salary: £28,000 per annum plus £80:00 sleep-in allowance per shift.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne.

Hours: 37 hours over a 7 day rota.

In line with the Equality Act 2010, this role is restricted to female applicants due to a genuine occupational requirement. The post involves working in a women’s service supporting clients who have experienced trauma. We’re launching a new supported living service in Newcastle offering safe, stable accommodation and tailored support for women at risk of homelessness, exploitation, or re-offending.

About The Role

  • Deliver 1:1 and group support sessions focused on independent living, tenancy preparation, and employment skills
  • Develop and review personalised support plans
  • Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies (e.g. probation, mental health, recovery services)
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and risk management plans
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development

About You

  • Experience supporting vulnerable women (e.g. homelessness, criminal justice, mental health, substance misuse, learning disabilities)
  • A trauma‑informed and strengths‑based approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A relevant qualification or training in social care or support work (desirable)
