The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary: £15.04 per hour, plus enhanced overtime and sleep‑in rate paid at £80.00 per sleep‑in. This role also attracts a Welcome Bonus of £350.

Location: Residential children’s home in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Hours: 37 hours per week working over a 7‑day rota including weekends and sleep‑ins.

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic caregivers who want to help make a difference in the lives of children who have experienced adversity and trauma. As a Residential Care Officer, you will support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle by advising, educating and promoting positive choices. You will also be responsible for helping to deliver high‑quality residential provision.

Qualifications & Experience

Ideally you will have experience of working in children’s residential care or possess transferable skills from a similar role. More important than specific experience is that your values align with those of our charity and the requirements of Ofsted, and that you have integrity and a strong desire to help others. As an integral part of our care team, you will immediately benefit from our structured training programme and be fully supported to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People if you do not already hold this qualification.
