We are looking for an energetic and highly organised School Administrator to serve as part of our school office team. This post demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications, good inter-personal skills with the ability to work efficiently and accurately while under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to support the work of a busy admin team as well as carrying out duties relating to specific departments. The line manager for this post is the School Secretary.

Key Tasks

  • Recording pupil registration
  • Assisting with enquiries from staff, pupils, parents and visitors to the School
  • Assist with support for school activities and trips, including organising bus hire/travel for trips/outings
  • Scheduling meetings with Parents
  • Preparing refreshments for meetings
  • Assist with processing school meal transactions, on a rota basis
  • Cover Junior School and Senior School reception as required
  • Fire drill duties
  • First Aider
  • Attend and minute meetings
  • General office duties, including reception cover, typing, mail, and meeting set-up
  • Additional duties as delegated by the School Secretary.

Terms

  • Hours of work: 08.15-16.15 with a half hour for lunch.
  • Holiday entitlement: eight days of customary holidays and five weeks' paid holiday. It is expected that this leave will be taken during school closure periods.
