Overview
Volunteer role providing audiovisual (AV) support for online and hybrid talks, seminars, and events hosted by the Hospice. Requires prior experience in using audio‑visual equipment and managing online events, preferably in a professional context.

Responsibilities

  • Support online and hybrid sessions using Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including admitting online attendees from the waiting room.
  • Monitor and maintain sound and video quality, using in‑house cameras as required so presenters can be clearly seen and heard.
  • Assist presenters and facilitators with screen sharing and recording sessions, if required.
  • Offer suggestions about equipment, technology or connectivity to improve event success.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience or familiarity with video‑conferencing platforms and basic audio‑visual equipment.
  • Understanding of managing virtual meetings across Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Volunteers must be 18 or over.

Commitment & Duration
Approximately 6–10 events or talks per year. Each event may involve a short AV rehearsal and 2–3 hours of attendance. The role will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
