Hours: Full & Part Time Positions

Starting Salary: Hospice Band 5 Step1 £35,813 WTE per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week) (rising to Step 2 £39,736 WTE per annum subject to satisfactory performance review) + Unsocial Hours Shift Allowance + Pension + Benefits

St Columba’s exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We’re an independent charity at the heart of our local community, offering free, flexible and person-centred palliative care and support to our patients and their families.

We currently have both full-time and part-time vacancies for Staff Nurses within the In Patient Unit. You’ll be joining a multi-professional team committed to delivering high standards of care to people living with life limiting conditions. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and a desire to work in a caring environment, supported by previous relevant experience to enable you to provide evidence based, individualised specialist palliative nursing care to inpatients, whilst adhering to statutory regulations and Hospice policies.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking registered staff nurses – team players with well developed communication skills. We can offer a competitive salary and professional and developmental training. The successful candidates will work a mixture of internal rotation shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

This post requires the post holder to have a criminal records check at a PVG scheme record update level. An application will be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. A joint application will be made which the Hospice will pay for.
