Job Description
Practice and Quality Development Facilitator
Hospice Band: 6
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Starting Salary: Step1 £44,273 WTE pro rata per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week) (rising to Step 2 £ 48,636 WTE following satisfactory performance review) + Pension + Benefits
St Columba's exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We're an independent charity at the heart of our local community, offering free, flexible and person-centred palliative care and support to our patients and their families.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced health or social care professional to join our team.
As the Practice and Quality Development Facilitator, you will have responsibility for leading and supporting a wide range of projects and activities ensuring that staff are supported to deliver the highest standard of care across our Inpatient, Hospice at Home, and patient and family support services.
The ideal applicant will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a proven track record of leading clinical initiatives, confident in delivering education and training, and experience in successfully implementing change in a healthcare setting. You should have excellent organisational, and communication and be able to act as a positive role model.
You should be able to recognise and balance the need for support and challenge, facilitate critical reflection, and be able to support the development of the hospice team. You will be committed to the ongoing support of our learning and development, quality improvement vision day to day in line with strategic aims.

This post requires the post holder to have a criminal records check at a PVG scheme record update level. An application will be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. A joint application will be made which the Hospice will pay for.
