Our North Berwick Café (part of our wider Bookshop and Gallery space in North Berwick) plays an important role for the Hospice in generating vital income and raising awareness of our services. The spacious café serves breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes. We offer a modern take on a traditional menu, sourcing products from local suppliers and are very proud that our ever-changing menu of cakes, soups and salads are all made in-house.
We have a new opportunity for a Café Baker / Chef to join the team. They will be required to order, prepare, cook and bake a range of food for the cafe customers, as well as supervise staff and volunteers involved in all aspects of prep, wash–up and cleaning within the department.
Candidates should ideally have a passion for trying new recipes and flavours and have an interest in using fresh, seasonal produce. The Cafe is currently open Tuesday to Saturday.
This post requires the post holder to have a criminal record check (Disclosure Scotland) at Basic level. An application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before the successful candidate can begin in post. The Hospice will pay the cost for this check.
