£25,132.14 - £28,808.61 actual salary per annum

37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, Friday 8am - 3:30pm

38 weeks per year - Term time plus Inset days

We are seeking a sharp, enthusiastic Maths Tutor to join our secondary school team and support our students develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in Maths.

The Fast Track to Teaching

This role offers an excellent launchpad for a career in teaching. The successful candidate will be supported in enrolling onto a teacher training programme at our school from September 2027, making this a valuable opportunity to gain paid, in‑class experience to support long‑term career development.

What you’ll do:

  • Targeted support: Deliver high impact sessions for students in Key Stage 4.
  • Bridge the gaps: Identify specific learning hurdles and design creative ways to overcome them.
  • Boost confidence: Turn "I can't do Maths" into "I'm loving this and I'm a Mathematician".

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in Maths (or a highly numerical discipline).
  • A genuine desire to motivate and inspire secondary school students.
  • Top-tier communication skills - you can explain tricky concepts simply and clearly.
  • Energy, patience and a positive attitude.
