About the School

The Trustees of the Rosary Trust and the Governors of St Care's Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Head Teacher, effective 1st January 2027.

Role Overview

The new Head Teacher will work with the Local Governing Body and the Rosary Trust to shape the school’s strategic direction.

They will be responsible for day‑to‑day leadership and management, leading a team that works together for the best interest of all our children, following the school's

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the senior leadership team, teachers, parents and the wider school community.
  • Develop and champion a curriculum that teachers are excited to teach and that inspires children to learn.
  • Provide strategic and professional leadership, ensuring the school remains high quality and aligned to its Catholic values.
  • Safeguard all children, ensuring a secure environment and adherence to safeguarding policies.
  • Co‑create a supportive, inclusive and ambitious culture, coaching and mentoring staff to maximise every child’s potential.
  • Collaborate with the governing body and Rosary Trust to shape the strategic direction of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements and that all appointments involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Qualifications & Person Specification

  • Current Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher or Assistant Head Teacher with outstanding leadership experience.
  • Practising Catholic with ability to nurture faith and spirituality and to provide inspirational Catholic education based on Gospel values.
  • Strong commitment to partnership with parents, parish and wider community.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, safeguarding, coaching and staff leadership.
  • A secure understanding of all matters relating to safeguarding.
  • Ability to inspire enthusiasm, ambition and a child‑centred vision.
