St Clare Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients and families in West Essex and the East Hertfordshire borders. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Officer to support the financial processes, controls and reporting requirements of the Hospice group companies.
The successful candidate will assist in:
- Payroll processing
- Income processing for our retail and lottery activities
- Bank reconciliation
- Other month-end reconciliation work
- Ad hoc data collection to support the Finance team
This role reports directly to the Head of Finance and will work closely with the rest of the finance team, including volunteers, as well as colleagues throughout the hospice. The finance team currently have a flexible working pattern with a combination of office and home working.
We are looking for someone with valid experience of working in accounting; charity accounting knowledge would be useful but not essential. In return for your commitment, we offer a competitive salary and pension options, as well as strong development support and learning opportunities.
