St Rumon's CE Infant School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a particular focus on sports and physical education to join their team. We are looking for someone who has experience of delivering high quality PE and is a great team player, who wants to be involved in all aspects of school life. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a difference to the provision for our pupils. Responsibilities
- Be able to work in partnership with the current teaching staff and PE lead, to complement their delivery of the national curriculum
- Have the ability to plan and deliver structured teaching and learning activities for groups of pupils
- Provide support for pupils, MTAs, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all
- Be able to work creatively and flexibly
- Be able to prioritise tasks effectively

Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants should outline the experience and expertise they would bring to this role. Candidates should have relevant experience with this age group of children and a TA qualification or the intention to gain a qualification upon appointment.
Contract and Conditions
- Contract Term: Fixed term until 31st August 2026 (extension beyond but will be subject to funding)
- Hours: Part time 15hrs per week, 39 weeks per annum
- Expected to be: Monday to Friday 12:15pm - 3:15pm
- Salary: SC Grade 2 - Scale points 3 - 5, £12.45 per hour, Starting Salary £8,685 per year (FTE £24,796)
- Term Time only - 39 weeks per annum
- Required: ASAP
