Your New Role
As PR and Stories Officer, you will play a key role in delivering impactful media coverage and compelling storytelling. Working closely with the PR and Stories Manager, you will help drive forward our media activity—securing high-quality coverage across broadcast, print and online channels at both local and national levels. You will identify, develop and share powerful stories from patients, families, supporters and colleagues, ensuring they are handled with sensitivity and care. You will also write press materials, respond to media enquiries and proactively pitch stories to journalists. In addition, you will support the development of our celebrity ambassador and influencer programme, manage media activity at events, and contribute to integrated campaigns across the organisation.
About You
We are looking for a talented storyteller and media professional with a passion for meaningful communications. You will have:
- Experience securing media coverage across print, broadcast and online channels
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to produce a range of PR materials
- Experience developing and delivering PR campaigns
- The ability to identify and shape compelling, newsworthy stories
- Strong relationship‑building skills with journalists and stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
You will also be empathetic and confident—able to work with people in sensitive situations and support them through media engagement with professionalism and care.
