St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Director of Estates who, with the oversight of the Chief Executive Officer, will develop and manage the Trust estate of 21 primary schools. You will have a small estates team to support you, an existing condition survey/plan and a healthy budget to work with. This role is based at home/local school and requires travel to all our schools throughout Devon. The opportunity is to further shape the role and the team, with a guaranteed monthly income and good terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Trust's estate of 21 primary schools, ensuring statutory compliance in the public sector.
  • Lead a small estates team, coordinate with contractors and clients, and oversee the existing condition survey/plan and budget.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience managing buildings/facilities, ideally in the commercial sector.
  • Experience or interest in applying skills to positively impact young people.
  • Good communicator with contractors and clients.
  • Strategically minded and values-driven individual.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read the Safeguarding policy before applying.

Working Conditions and Benefits

  • Hours: 0.6 FTE (22.20 hours) – consideration given to part time work. All year round or on term‑time only.
