Teaching Assistant (Sport element) – St Rumon’s Church of England Infant School
Contract Term: Fixed term until 31st August 2026 (extension beyond will be subject to funding). Hours – Part time 15 hrs per week, 39 weeks per annum. Expected to be: Monday to Friday 12:15pm – 3:15pm. Salary – SC Grade 2 – Scale points 3 - 5, £12.45 per hour, Starting Salary £8,685 per year (FTE £24,796). Required: ASAP.
Job Overview
St Rumon’s CE Infant School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a particular focus on sports and physical education to join their team. We are looking for someone who has experience of delivering high quality PE and is a great team player, who wants to be involved in all aspects of school life. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a difference to the provision for our pupils. If you are enthusiastic and motivated about developing this aspect of the curriculum across the school, raising standards and providing stimulating learning experiences for young minds, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Be able to work in partnership with the current teaching staff and PE lead, to complement their delivery of the national curriculum.
- Have the ability to plan and deliver structured teaching and learning activities for groups of pupils.
- Provide support for pupils, MTAs, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all.
- Be able to work creatively and flexibly.
- Be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
