St Michael’s CofE Primary Academy is a larger than average primary school, located in Heavitree, Exeter. It is part of the St Christopher’s Trust, which comprises 21 schools across the county. Responsibilities
- Be an exemplary teacher, stimulating, creative and innovative.
- Have a sound pedagogical understanding of how children learn, including effective teaching and behaviour management strategies.
- Plan an engaging and motivating curriculum rooted in first‑hand experiences, making the most of the school and local environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion.
- Be a reflective practitioner.
- Work collaboratively with leaders and staff to support the development of the school vision.
- Work as part of a team under the direction of the phase lead, Headteacher and Deputy Head to ensure all children receive the best possible education.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English, able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and ability to undergo an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
