Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity on one of our wards for an experienced, motivated and emotionally intelligent registered nurse, who has excellent leadership, managerial and clinical skills. This is a key position within the hospice, where you will have the day to day responsibility for leading a team of skilled nurses, caring for patients and their families at the end of life. The wards at St Christopher’s offer opportunities for clinical placements for health care staff learning about end of life care. These range from student nurses to doctors and nurses worldwide involved in setting up palliative care services.
To succeed in this role
You will be a resilient practitioner with a keen interest in making a difference to patient care, and have experience of working at Senior Staff Nurse/Deputy Ward Manager level in specialist palliative care or oncology.
Additionally, it is just as important to us that you are able to demonstrate good computer skills, be an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing), and have a passion for positively promoting Equality and Diversity.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Katie Grace, Clinical Team Lead on k.grace@stchristophers.org.uk
