We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team at Jubilee House Nursing Home. This role has become available following the planned departure of our current Deputy Manager, who is relocating.

This is a key leadership role, combining hands‐on care, staff supervision, and day‐to‐day operational support, ensuring our residents receive kind, safe, high‐quality, person‐centred care at all times. You will lead by example, support the care team, and help maintain a warm, well‐run home where residents feel respected, comfortable, and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the day‐to‐day running of the home
  • Leading, supervising, and supporting care staff to deliver high standards of care
  • Ensuring care is person‐centred, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting care planning, risk assessments, and accurate record‐keeping
  • Acting as a role model for best practice and professional standards
  • Supporting staff induction, training, and development
  • Assisting with audits, quality assurance, and maintaining a positive CQC culture
  • Providing hands‐on care when needed and responding to residents' needs promptly
  • Deputising for the Registered Manager as required

About You
  • Experience working in a care home or similar setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role
  • A caring and professional approach with strong people skills
  • Good understanding of person‐centred care for older adults
  • Ability to lead by example and promote best practice
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and/or Level 5 Leader in Adult Care
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
