The Peripatetic Learning Support Teacher will provide high-quality, targeted 1:1 support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs across the Senior School. They will play a key role in enabling pupils to build confidence, make strong academic progress and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist 1:1 SEND support tailored to individual needs.
- Support staff with differentiation and inclusive classroom strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records (IEPs/pupil passports).
- Communicate effectively with parents, including termly reports and parents' evenings.
- Promote pupil confidence, independence and self-advocacy.
- Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Specialist SEND qualification required (e.g. Level 5/7 SpLD, APC, NASENCO).
- Experience supporting pupils across KS3-KS5, including exam access arrangements.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and inclusive pedagogy.
- Ability to work independently with excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of the GCSE and A Level exams system including access arrangements.
- Confident using assistive technology and supporting a range of subjects.
