This is a vital role within our Income Generation Team to deliver high levels of customer service and contribute to the vital work of maximising our sales and profits.
Main duties of the job:
- We are seeking a reliable, motivated driver to support the collection and distribution of donated goods across the Surrey and West Sussex area.
- This key role supports our retail operation to run smoothly, ensuring efficient movement of goods between the shops and warehouses and representing the hospice in a positive manner.

This post is offered on a part time, permanent basis, working 16 hours per week. The hours for this post are Monday and Friday. The successful candidate will be an essential car user, therefore candidates must have a full, clean and current UK driving licence.

- Working independently and as part of a team, working closely with the Superstore Manager to prioritise collections and deliveries

- Experience of driving a variety of vehicles
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with public, staff and volunteers
- Basic maintenance knowledge of transport vehicles
- Personal organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- Ability to safely manage heavy loads and follow Manual Handling techniques
- Experience of goods deliveries
- Vehicle maintenance knowledge/experience
- Experience of route planning and organisation
- Some knowledge of St Catherine's Hospice work in the community, including its charity shops
