Teach creative subjects in a focused sixth‑form environment with motivated students and strong professional support. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Fine Art and Textiles to join our vibrant and high‑achieving Art & Design department.
About the RoleThis role centres on planning and delivering engaging, innovative and high‑quality lessons in Fine Art and Textiles, enabling students to develop their creativity, technical skills and independent artistic voice.
The Role Includes- Teaching A Level Fine Art and Textiles
- Supporting student progress through effective assessment, feedback and academic guidance
- Fostering a purposeful, inclusive and professional learning environment
- Contributing to departmental planning, enrichment activities and curriculum development
- Participating in ongoing CPD and collaborating with a team committed to continuous improvement
We welcome applications from creative, committed educators who are passionate about Art and Design and supporting young people. We are seeking an individual who:
- Holds a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
- Has experience teaching Art and Design at A Level, with a strong understanding of Fine Art and Textiles
- Has a proven ability to inspire students and deliver high‑quality teaching
- Is confident using Adobe Creative Suite within teaching
- Has knowledge of printmaking techniques (e.g. silk screen, intaglio and relief)
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills and works well collaboratively
- Is committed to inclusive, student‑centred learning
- Brings creativity, adaptability and a growth mindset
- No tutor group attached to the post
- No routine lunch or break duties
- Pastoral support led primarily by dedicated progress tutors
- Student support sessions are timetabled
- Collaborative planning and shared departmental practice
