Das St. Bernward Krankenhaus ist akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Universität Göttingen. Als eines der bundesweit ersten beiden Akademischen Lehrkrankenhäuser sind wir vom Medizinischer Fakultätentag der Bundesrepublik Deutschland im Februar 2015 für unsere hervorragende Ausbildungsqualität ausgezeichnet worden. Studierende der Medizin können bei uns ihr Praktisches Jahr sowie in manchen Kliniken auch Famulaturen absolvieren. Eine enge persönliche Betreuung ist uns wichtig! Unsere Chefärzte bieten den Studenten zur Vorbereitung auf das Staatsexamen wöchentliche Fortbildungen sowie auch die Teilnahme an interdisziplinären Fallkonferenzen an. Dank der guten Verkehrsanbindung erreichen Sie Hildesheim von Göttingen aus direkt mit dem ICE (fährt stündlich, Fahrzeit: 28 Minuten). Die Fahrtkosten werden von uns bis zur Höchstgrenze (derzeit 249 Euro) erstattet.

Unsere PJ-Studenten durchlaufen in einem festen Rotationszyklus die internistischen Kliniken (Medizinische Klinik I – IV) sowie die chirurgischen Kliniken. Darüber hinaus bieten wir Ihnen sechs mögliche Wahlfächer.

Lerninhalte für unsere PJ-Studenten:

  • Mitbetreuung und -behandlung von Patienten mit allgemein-internistischen und speziellen gastroenterologischen Erkrankungen.
  • Betreuung von Patienten mit Stoffwechselerkrankungen (Diabetes mellitus, Schilddrüsenerkrankung, etc.).
  • Nach einer Einarbeitungsphase unter Anleitung selbstständige Betreuung von Patienten im diagnostischen und therapeutischen Ablauf.
  • Mitarbeit in der Funktionsdiagnostik (Endoskopie, Ultraschall).
