Catering Assistant (Permanent)

Salary & working pattern

  • Grade: BB02 (Salary Point 03)
  • FTE Salary: £25,185 Actual Salary: £17,624 per annum
  • Working pattern: 30 hours per week, Term Time + 6 Days

This post attracts a Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £13.435 per hour.

We are looking to appoint a part-time Catering Assistant to add to the existing team at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our school community and we are looking for reliable people with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills who will assist in the provision of an effective and efficient catering service; supporting the catering team to provide a high quality of service to students and staff. We require someone with catering experience who is flexible; able to support in our main school kitchen, Sixth Form Café and primary school provision where necessary.

St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community and we offer a high-quality education in a Catholic/Christian environment. St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust; a large trust consisting of 39 schools.
