Start Date: 02/11/2026

Salary: Grade 8, £32,597 - £35,412 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £24,627.80 - £26,754.60 p.a.)

Contract: Temporary to cover a period of maternity leave until 01.11.2027 or the substantive post-holder's return if earlier

Hours: 32.5 per week (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), term time only including INSET days (39 weeks)

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The Role: We are seeking to appoint a positive and energetic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our joyful team. The successful applicant will cover classes from Nursery through to Year 6, delivering planned lessons during ECT time, teacher CPD time and some sickness cover. When cover is not required, the successful candidate will work alongside a teacher in the classroom supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the school’s other HLTA forming a dynamic team who make a real difference to the lives of the children. The role would suit someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and is looking to gain experience across the primary phase. We would welcome applications from secondary colleagues as well as those with a primary background.
