Join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Emersons Green Primary School!

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade 10 £26,824 - £28,142 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £14,809.89 - £15,537.58 p.a.)

Contract: Temporary until 31/08/2026, Linked to EHCP Funding - this contract is linked to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) funding and will continue while the named child remains on roll at the school and funding is in place.

Hours: 23.75 per week, Monday- Friday, 9.00-14.45 (1 hour unpaid break), term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled teaching assistant to join our team supporting both whole classes and individual children. The ideal candidate will have experience in teamwork, effective communication and a proven track record of positively impacting pupil attainment, progress and well-being.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have NVQ2/ L2 qualification or equivalent
  • Have experience and/or qualifications in working with pupils with Special Needs and be willing to undertake further professional development.
  • Be competent in the use of IT.
  • Be flexible and versatile in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Enjoy working closely with colleagues as part of an effective team.
  • Be highly motivated and well organised.
  • Have high expectations of all children in every aspect of school life.
  • Have an understanding of inclusion.

Fluency Duty: This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
