We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Brewery Apprentice to join our Production team.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in brewing, learning from experienced professionals while gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Working alongside our Brewing and Laboratory teams, you'll develop the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to become an independent brewer at entry level.
Through a combination of on-the-job learning and structured training, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the brewing process, supporting the production of high-quality beer while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and food safety.

- What You'll Be Doing
- Learning and supporting all aspects of the brewing process under the guidance of experienced colleagues
- Carrying out brewhouse operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and technical specifications
- Completing quality checks on beer throughout the production process
- Supporting the maintenance, calibration and cleanliness of laboratory equipment
- Identifying and reporting any issues with brewing processes, equipment or product quality to the appropriate colleague
- Championing high standards of health & safety, food safety and housekeeping across the brewery
- Completing your apprenticeship coursework, portfolio and logbook alongside your practical training
- Developing your knowledge across brewing and laboratory operations to become competent and confident in both areas
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Production team to deliver the production schedule
- Continuously developing your technical knowledge, practical skills and understanding of the brewing industry
What We're Looking For
- GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent), plus A-levels or equivalent in at least one science based subject
- A genuine interest in brewing, food and drink production or manufacturing
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive approach to problem solving and following established procedures
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health & safety, food safety and quality
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your apprenticeship alongside your day-to-day responsibilities
- A reliable and flexible approach with a strong work ethic
- Candidates with previous beer making experience (commercial or domestic) will have an advantage
- Your Apprenticeship
As part of this role, you'll complete a Level 4 Brewing apprenticeship over approximately 18 months.
Throughout your programme you'll receive dedicated support from experienced colleagues and your training provider while developing the practical skills, technical knowledge and behaviours needed for a successful career in brewing.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll be able to confidently carry out brewing and laboratory activities to the required operational standards and contribute to the production of consistently high-quality beer.
