The role involves preparing the lorry for delivery and accurately verifying the contents of inventory loads against load sheet documents. Responsibilities include reviewing all delivery instructions to support service standards, completing all documentation promptly and accurately as required, ensuring that the vehicle is loaded safely according to the load document, and delivering stock in a safe and efficient manner. It is essential to ensure compliance with all legislation relating to driving, including a tacho card, and to undertake and log routine checks of lights, tyres, oil, water, etc., to ensure the vehicle is safe and legal for the road.
This role requires working a 45-hour week on an annualised hours scheme, Monday to Friday, with four Saturdays included in the contract. Start times vary between 5.30 am and 7.30 am, and finish times vary from 3 pm to 6 pm.
About you:
- Appropriate level of driving licence for the vehicle, a current CPC Card, and a driver’s tachograph card.
- Relevant driving experience.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment with a commercial outlook.
- Experience with manual handling of heavy goods, as kegs average 63 kg.
