The Great Western is a welcoming inn in heart of Newquay. Perched above beautiful sandy beaches, our location on the sea-front has unrivalled views. Our bedrooms are comfortable and inviting with beachy décor and many overlook the coast. Relax in the contemporary open plan bar and dining areas, enjoy good food, award-winning beers and endless sea views. Our garden and terrace are perfect for drinking and dining al fresco. We are family friendly with an outdoor play area and are dog friendly too.

This exciting role will see you work in an inspiringpart of the world, motivating a team of passionate people while supporting andoccasionally stepping in for the General Manager.

About You:

  • Takingthe helm when the General Manager is away, you motivate team members todeliver their best and ensure everything is running smoothly andefficiently.
  • Creatinga warm welcome to guests comes naturally to you, making every firstimpression count to ensure experiences delight from the get-go.
  • Keeping awatchful eye over customer feedback means your team is always adapting tomaintain high standards and improve where necessary.
  • You goabove and beyond to ensure a consistently high level of service,supporting the full team including Front and Back of House during peaktimes.
  • Youoversee the consistent production of a quality food offering and recognisethe importance of the Kitchen Team.
  • Having awealth of experience in a similar role means you are able to recognisewhen team members need help and you’ll support where needed.
  • A keeneye for detail means you keep all admin and cash management systemsticking along as they should, taking responsibility when the GeneralManager is away.
  • You knowhealth and safety regulations like the back of your hand.
  • Teammembers see you as an inspiring role model and know they can depend on youfor support and development.
  • You takepride and responsibility for your own development, with an eye towardsbecoming a General Manager one day.
