Fixed term opportunity!
We are seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our distribution network in Wimborne, Dorset.
As a dedicated member of the Distribution team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and timely while maintaining St Austell Brewery's fantastic reputation across the South West.
- You Will Be Responsible For
- Preparing the lorry for delivery and accurately verifying the contents of inventory loads against load sheet documents.
- Reviewing all delivery instructions to support service standards.
- Completing all documentation promptly and accurately as required.
- Ensuring that the vehicle is loaded safely according to the load document.
- Delivering stock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensuring that all legislation relating to driving is complied with, including a tachograph card.
- Ensuring the vehicle is safe and legal for the road by undertaking and logging routine checks of lights, tyres, oil, water, etc.
About You
- Appropriate level of driving licence for the vehicle, and a driver’s tachograph card.
- Relevant driving experience.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment with a commercial outlook.
- You will be delivering kegs with an average weight of 63kg so manual handling experience is preferable as the movement of heavy goods must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner.
