The school has developed an ambitious and detailed Digital Strategy ranging across software and hardware, inside and outside the classroom and in our core teaching and organisational activities. In support of this, the person fulfilling this role is responsible for managing and supporting the school’s management information system.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the school’s MIS system, applying updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Offering technical support for the MIS system and other systems, assisting staff with queries, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Carrying out the annual MIS and other systems rollover to prepare for the new school year.
  • Maintaining assessment report templates and distributing academic reports to parents via email and online.
  • Establishing and maintaining bespoke reporting using the MIS system to cater to specific school requirements.
  • Supporting the import, creation, and maintenance of timetable entries within the MIS, ensuring proper integration and accuracy.
  • Supporting third-party systems that integrate with the MIS, including the preparation of data for systems such as parents' evening platforms, ClassCharts, Unifrog, Kerboodle, Finance and other related systems.
  • Providing training to staff on the use of the MIS system and encouraging them to utilise all available modules effectively.
  • Providing support for co-curricular activities, ensuring that club information and registers are accessible to staff, parents, and students.
  • Providing support for the Preps with their Parent Evening Booking.
  • Conducting MIS audits to ensure the accuracy and reliability of business-critical data.
  • Improving the parental portal by updating its content, making it more informative and user-friendly.
  • Overseeing assessment processes, including uploading results to the MIS system.

Additional

  • Support the Bursary and Office Supervisor in the production of annual census data.
  • Support the Bursary in relation to staff and pupil data.
  • Support the HR Manager in relation to staff data and run relevant HR reports.
  • Support the Admissions team regarding prospective pupil data.
  • Support the Health Centre with reporting related to medical and health & safety data.
