The role may include lesson support, team coaching, after‑school clubs, fixtures, tournaments and wider school sport events. Sport plays an important role in the life of the school, with pupils encouraged to develop confidence, physical literacy, teamwork, resilience and enjoyment through PE, Games, co‑curricular clubs and competitive fixtures.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Sport and wider PE Department to support pupils of different ages, abilities and sporting backgrounds. The role would suit someone looking to build meaningful experience in PE teaching, coaching or school sport and supporting the growth of girls' sport.
We are blessed with 13 acres of green space, unique in the heart of London and we have ambitious plans for continued development of the facilities. Our Farm, Forest School, Meadow, Astro‑turf, Indoor Hall and Open‑Air Theatre all utilise the natural setting and pupils love the physical freedom offered by our beautiful grounds.
- Support the delivery of PE and Games across the school, where required.
- Coach Hockey or Netball as a specialist area.
- Assist with co‑curricular clubs, training sessions and team preparation.
- Support fixtures, including warm‑ups, coaching, supervision and pupil organisation.
- Support pupils of all abilities to enjoy sport, develop confidence and improve performance.
- Assist with school sport events, tournaments, inter‑house events and sports days as required.
- Help with practical departmental tasks such as equipment, registers, kit, team lists and communication.
- Work professionally with pupils, staff and parents, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil care at all times.
- Encourage and support participation and excellence in girls' sport as our provision continues to grow.
- Organise and supervise after‑school clubs and training sessions.
- Accompany and/or coach teams during fixtures, tournaments and wider school sports events.
- Provide pupils with a positive role‑model.
