Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Senior IT Technician to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their career in IT support, within an educational setting.

Responsibilities: Previous experience in a senior IT support role is essential. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the Federation's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of all technical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Systems or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certification or equivalent work experience

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent troubleshooting experience
  • Strong background supporting hardware and software in an educational or similar environment
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Power Platform, specifically in the creation and maintenance of Power Automate flows and Canvas Apps that utilize SharePoint as a backend
  • Mobile technology (tablets & smartphones using Android & iOS)
  • Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Switches, DHCP & DNS)
  • Active Directory Management including Azure Active Directory
  • Significant experience working in IT support
  • Strong interest in information technology and problem-solving
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networks, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly
