The Governors of St Augustine's Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is committed and passionate about children's education and well-being and is able to provide high quality support.

The main purpose of the job is to support access to learning and provide general support for the school in the management of pupils and resources as directed.

We are looking for a person who:

  • can support and deliver high quality teaching and learning.
  • has a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • can deliver specific support to raise the attainment of under-performing children and groups.
  • can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning.
  • can work effectively as part of a team.
  • has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • has a sense of humour.

St Augustine’s is a small vibrant, multicultural, inner city school with 200 pupils on roll. It is a 1 form entry school with a 26 place Nursery.
