St Anthony's School for Boys is a Catholic Preparatory School (IAPS) for boys aged 2.5 - 13. It is a Roman Catholic School but welcomes boys of other faiths. There are currently over 280 pupils on roll, and the school is looking to increase this number to 330 over the next few years. This will be in part due to the rapid expansion of our highly successful Nursery, which opened in September 2023.
St Anthony's School for Boys is looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Teaching Assistant on a permanent contract.
Responsibilities- To work with the class teacher to foster a warm, caring, and friendly environment for the children within the classroom.
- To work with the class teacher in preparing work for the boys, putting up displays and assisting as required within the classroom.
- Stay informed about all school policies and be aware of issues concerning individual students, ensuring effective communication among colleagues for their overall well-being.
- To share in the responsibility for covering colleagues in their absence.
- Accompany and supervise children during off-site activities (e.g., swimming lessons and educational trips).
- Undertake lunchtime supervision, including the road crossing of pupils.
- Prepare and clear up resources and maintain resource areas.
- A genuine interest in, and enthusiasm for working with children.
