We are looking for an experienced Registered Adult / Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. We are currently in a period of significant change following our recent CQC inspection and subsequent rating of inadequate. We are looking for nurses to join the team and help us to challenge old ways of working and to come with us on our journey forward.
Our Nursing Home provides care for 26 adult residents with nursing and mental health needs. While the role can sometimes be challenging, it is also rewarding. Part‑time hours start at 12.25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing team as the nurse in charge during your shift, ensuring through communication and leadership that residents receive optimum care.
- Carry out medication rounds using our electronic systems, manage stock, conduct clinical drug (CD) checks and raise any medication concerns with pharmacy and management teams.
- Provide wound care and management, venepuncture, stoma care, end‑of‑life care, and administer IV medications.
- Document daily actions and communications on the electronic plan, update care plans for residents assigned as your named nurse.
- Recognise and manage any decline in physical or mental health, and communicate with outside agencies and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes.
- Complete mandatory training and attend additional training sessions to maintain your skills.
- Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse with general nursing abilities.
- Experience in wound care, venepuncture, end‑of‑life care, and palliative care.
- Experience in dementia and mental health care.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- UK Registered Nurse PIN with no restrictions.
- Ability to work as sole nurse on shift and manage shift duties independently.
