The predicted salary is between 12 - 13 £ per hour.

Starting salary £13.21 per hour (Supplement rate, reviewed regularly). Standard hourly rate £12.21. Rate can be withdrawn at any time.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Prepare person‑centred support plans with clients that reflect their views, aspirations, beliefs, and opinions. Review and amend as necessary.
  • Support clients to fulfil their aspirations and live as independently as possible.
  • Accompany them to social visits, events, and activities, promote choice, arrange outings, and develop skills.
  • Communicate openly and transparently with clients and team members, acting with integrity.
  • Provide personal care respecting clients’ choices and dignity, including assistance with washing and toileting.
  • Keep accurate records, including daily notes, with full client involvement.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

  • Willing to provide an appropriate level of care and support in line with care plans, including personal care.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining accurate written and numerical records.
  • Capable of undertaking a wide range of personal care and domestic duties (specific to each service).
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the role, such as climbing stairs, using hoists, pushing wheelchairs, moving people, night work. Adjustments considered under Equality Act.
  • Know or willing to learn basic computer usage (Word, Outlook, internet) and undertake relevant care training and qualifications if required.
  • Work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and external stakeholders.
  • Have a valid UK driving licence.

Person Specification

Experience (Essential)

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in care (employment or home carer).

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Care Certificate or willingness to undertake Care Certificate.
  • Current driver licence.
