Main duties of the job
As a People Experience Lead you will play a key role in supporting the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development and PBS initiatives across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of People Experience, this role will provide leadership and operational oversight of training programmes, ensure compliance with mandatory learning, and drive a culture of continuous development.
The postholder will also contribute to strategic projects, staff capability building, and creativity and innovation in learning methods.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Support the development and implementation of the organisation’s L&D/PBS strategy in line with St Annes strategic plan. Act as a role model by displaying the values and behaviours, championing a culture of learning, development, and positive change. Deputise for the Head of People Experience as required, including attending meetings and providing updates.
Training & Delivery
Responsible for the coordination and delivery of induction, mandatory, and specialist training programmes. Facilitate engaging training sessions, using a variety of learning methods. Ensure learning content is up-to-date, evidence-based, and aligned with best practice. The postholder will also be required to deliver in house training to a diverse group of learners as and when the business requires.
Operational Oversight
Manage the training calendar and oversee course scheduling, logistics, and trainer allocation. Monitor and report on compliance rates for mandatory training and support managers to improve compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with managers and leadership teams working in partnership to identify Team learning needs. Work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues within and outside of the people team to develop career pathways and succession planning initiatives. Line manage and mentor members of the L&D/PBS team alongside the Head of People Experience.
Evaluation & Improvement
Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, observation, and metrics. Use data and insights to recommend improvements and demonstrate impact. Keep abreast of learning technologies, sector trends, and innovative approaches.
Organisational Development
Contribute to the delivery of People projects and OD initiatives, contributing to the design and delivery of workshops to educate and coach managers for the success of self service and increased knowledge and people management skills in line with the business strategy.

Essential criteria
- Level 3 qualification or demonstrable experience in a relevant subject, e.g., Health & Social Care, Education and Training. Level 2, or equivalent, in English and Maths (e.g., GCSE Grade A-C)
