Our Queensway service assists clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We require enthusiastic, caring individuals to take our clients out to access the community and achieve meaningful lives. We have a variety of shifts including days, nights, and sleep‑ins.
Job Overview
Support Worker, Queensway
Location: Kirkburton, Huddersfield.
Provide high‑quality care and support to enable clients to live their best life, including driving the service vehicle where required.
Main duties
- Prepare person‑centred support plans with clients and review and amend them as needed.
- Support clients to fulfil their aspirations, promote choice, arrange activities, develop skills and knowledge.
- Communicate openly and transparently with clients and team members, acting with integrity.
- Provide personal care in a way that respects clients’ choices and dignity.
- Keep accurate records, including daily notes, fully involving the client.

Detailed responsibilities
- Provide appropriate level of care and support in line with care plan.
- Maintain accurate written and numerical records.
- Undertake personal care and domestic duties as required.
- Meet physical requirements such as climbing stairs, using hoists, moving people, night work.
- Use computer packages (Word, Outlook, Internet) and undertake relevant care training.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Liaise with carers, families, inspectors and external stakeholders.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential.
