Location: Goole. UK Driving Licence is desirable due to remote location. Starting salary £12.21 per hour, rising to £12.41 after successful completion of probation, and £12.60 after a further 12 months in post.

About the Role

At Creykes Lodge we support our six clients 24/7. We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring Support Workers to provide high‑quality care, support, and companionship. Your work will be meaningful, rewarding, and full of variety, including personal care and manual handling – with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare person‑centred support plans that reflect clients’ views and aspirations, reviewing and amending them as needed.
  • Support clients to live as independently as possible, including accompanying them on social visits, promoting choice, arranging activities and outings, and developing skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate openly and transparently with clients and team members, acting with integrity.
  • Provide personal care respecting clients’ choices and dignity, such as washing and toileting where required.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily notes with full client involvement.
  • Carry out the physical requirements of the role, including climbing stairs, using hoists, pushing wheelchairs, moving people, and night work; adjustments considered under the Equality Act if necessary.
  • Use computer packages (Word, Outlook, Internet) and undertake relevant training and qualification in care if required.
  • Work cooperatively as a team member, liaise and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Care Certificate or willingness to undertake Care Certificate.
  • Current UK driving licence (essential).
  • Previous experience working in care (employment or caring at home) desirable.
