Support Worker North Tyneside – Full & Part Time Hours – Driver Desirable

St Anne\’s Community Services is looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to support clients across North Tyneside. The role involves 24/7 care, day trips, and various shifts including days, nights and sleep overs.

Job Overview

Provide high quality care and support to enable clients to live their best possible life. Support clients with day trips to beach, restaurants, cinema and other activities. The role may involve travelling and is desirable to hold a UK driving licence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare person‑centred support plans with clients and review them as necessary.
  • Support clients to fulfil aspirations, accompany them on social visits, promote choice, arrange activities and develop skills.
  • Communicate openly with clients and other team members, and support quality inspection processes.
  • Provide personal care respecting choices and dignity, including washing, bathing, toileting and continence.
  • Keep accurate records and follow Health & Safety requirements (manual handling, food hygiene, fire safety, infection control, risk assessment).
  • Perform household duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry as required.

Additional Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Maintain accurate written and numerical records.
  • Carry out physical tasks such as climbing stairs, using hoists, moving people and night work.
  • Use computer packages (Word, Outlook) and undertake training/qualifications if required.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and external stakeholders.
  • Must hold a UK driving licence (essential).

  • Essential: Care Certificate or willingness to undertake it.
  • Desirable: Current driver licence.
