We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join us from September 2026 or January 2027. The successful applicant will be able to teach across key stages to students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.
Reading is a whole-Academy priority at St. Anne's and we provide all of our teaching and support staff with regular reading CPD. This is part of our Universal Offer to develop and bolster the academic reading in all areas of the curriculum. Intervention for struggling readers is a priority with evidence-informed interventions being matched to the right students. The impact of this priority has led to us championing Reading Ages that are rising dramatically in all year groups; with two year groups now being higher than the National Average.
We welcome applications both from ECTs and from experienced teachers who want to broaden their experience in a dynamic and innovative department.

- Has relevant experience of teaching English in a secondary school

- Is a flexible and perceptive classroom practitioner who can engage students across the age and ability range and enable all to learn, enjoy and make progress
