The Role
As our School Business Manager, you will be the school’s leading support staff professional, providing strategic leadership and operational management across:
- Finance – budget planning, monitoring and compliance
- HR and Payroll – staff management, recruitment and workforce planning
- Administration and ICT – ensuring effective systems and processes
- Premises, Facilities and Health & Safety – safe, efficient and well-maintained learning environment
- Marketing and Income Generation – raising the profile of our school and developing new opportunities
You will work closely with the Headteacher, Governors and staff to ensure resources are used effectively and aligned with the school’s strategic vision
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has leadership and management experience in a school or similar setting
- Possesses strong financial management expertise (ideally degree-level or accountancy qualification)
- Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Has the ability to lead teams effectively, inspire confidence and drive improvement
- Is committed to the values, ethos and inclusive culture of Elm Wood Primary School
