Role Overview To support, lead and motivate the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.

To run shifts independently and ensure delivery of excellent customer service, food and drink to specification, and a clean, safe and legal workplace in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities Operational Management

  • Run shifts independently, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Adopt a “stand back and look” approach to maintain standards throughout the shift
  • Ensure all areas are presented and maintained correctly Customer Experience & Service
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Ensure food and drink are served to the correct specification
  • Maintain strong presence and visibility during shifts
  • Be welcoming and engaging with customers
  • Respond to customer feedback positively and support improvements Standards & Compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace at all times
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and company policies
  • Follow food safety, licensing, and health & safety procedures

  • Take responsibility for supporting delivery of sales and profit targets
  • Assist with forecasting sales and costs alongside the Pub Manager
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales
  • Monitor stock levels, deliveries, and availability
  • Complete stock checks, wastage logs, and investigate variances Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and motivate the team during shifts

  • Support recruitment, inductions, and training of team members
  • Assist with probation reviews and performance management
