The Role
St Andrew’s are looking for an experienced teacher to join our happy and successful school. This role is not suitable for an ECT. We would like to appoint someone that is Primary trained although the post will be within KS2. The year group that this post holder will teach for 2026-2027 will be confirmed nearer the time.
As we are a one form entry, all teachers have responsibility for subject leadership. Please state in your application your experience of subject leadership or your areas of subject leader interest alongside detail of the year groups that you have taught.

Our School
St Andrew’s is a church school in the village of Congresbury. We are blessed with the most wonderful grounds that are spacious and full of opportunities in which to grow and learn, with St Andrew’s Church overlooking our youngest children’s playground. The most recent Ofsted inspection, June 2025, saw the school maintain its good judgement. The report stated that our vision of “growing together” permeates throughout the school and highlighted that ‘The wider development programme is a strength of the school and worthy of being shared’. SIAMS judged our school as an ‘Excellent’ church school: “meaningful relationships and partnerships enable all within the school to flourish”. Driven by our Christian vision of “growing together”, we are a highly inclusive school. We are passionate about ensuring that every child leaves our school with the skills and experiences required to lead happy and successful lives. Children at our school develop their unique character with the support and guidance of the staff, their families and our church.
