At St Andrews Links, the Home of Golf, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger & Retail Stock) to join our Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of a busy finance function while supporting one of the world's most iconic sporting destinations.

As Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of both purchase ledger and retail stock processes.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external suppliers, you will support the full retail stock procurement cycle, helping to ensure stock purchases are recorded accurately, transactions are processed efficiently and financial information is maintained to the highest standard.

A key aspect of the role will involve reconciling retail stock systems with the finance ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate stock records.

You will also be responsible for processing financial transactions, supporting supplier account administration and providing wider administrative assistance to the Finance team.

Through your work, you will help ensure timely reporting, effective financial controls and the smooth day-to-day management of retail stock finances.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing financial information.

You will be comfortable working with financial systems and data, confident in handling multiple tasks and committed to delivering accurate work within agreed timescales.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers are also essential.
