Forensic, Clinical or Counselling Psychologist – Trauma Informed Rehabilitation – Career Level C (NHS 7/8a) – North Benfleet

Salary: £46,781 - £53,592 dependent on experience. Full‑time 37.5 hours per week. 12 month fixed term contract. Position suitable for experienced Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist or one gaining HCPC registration within the next 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire trauma‑informed clinical and forensic work on the long‑term rehabilitation ward for working‑age men.
  • Manage workload and coordinate with other psychologists; supervise an assistant psychologist.
  • Provide clinical and therapeutic services, including trauma, DBT and EMDR.
  • Support patients on other sites (male low secure, acute wards, PICUs) where appropriate.
  • Develop and influence service delivery to provide high quality care.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registration (Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist).
  • Extensive experience in trauma therapy.
  • Knowledge of DBT and EMDR; trauma‑informed care preferred.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervision skills beneficial but not essential.
