Role Overview
This role combines clinical practice with leadership development, focused on trauma‑informed care within a long‑term rehabilitation setting. The position is based on a male long‑term low‑secure ward, with opportunities to support patients in other units, including EMDR therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire trauma‑informed clinical and forensic work.
- Manage workload within a long‑term rehabilitation ward for working‑age men.
- Provide clinical and therapeutic services, including EMDR and other trauma interventions.
- Collaborate closely with other psychologists and an assistant psychologist.
- Maintain HCPC registration (required; new registrants must be eligible within 6 months).
Qualifications & Experience
- Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist.
- Experience in trauma, DBT, EMDR is advantageous.
- Leadership skills and ability to work with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care; training will be provided.
