We are St Andrews, a mental health Charity which inspires Hope. We work together with a number of organisations to transform the lives of people with complex mental health needs. We provide specialist mental healthcare and deliver a range of inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education and research that helps to improve lives.

Our vision for the future is a society in which everyone living with mental health need is heard, valued and has hope for their future. As a charity, all of our profits are re-invested into new services and new facilities. And because we are independent, we have the flexibility to make a real difference. Joining us is your chance to make a big contribution to amazing work that is transforming the lives of some of society's most vulnerable people.

We are looking for an experienced professional, preferably with experience of managing a medical device portfolio who is looking for a new challenge. However, professionals with experience of working in a senior role dealing with complex information and high pressure situations, and who can demonstrate an understanding of medical or non-medical device safety and regulation will be considered. Having the right values is more important and if you are hard-working, have an eye for detail and understand the importance of providing patients with high quality and safe care, then this role might be for you.

The position will incorporate the role of medical devices safety officer for the charity. We welcome applications from professionals currently not working within mental health services, who have transferrable skills to support our agenda. The role would suit someone from a clinical background but also someone from an engineering or training background with experience working in a hospital, laboratory, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or pharmacy environment or one that is similar where they have worked with and managed a large portfolio of business critical equipment.

If you are ready for a challenging and satisfying role, where you can lead service developments and make a real difference for patients, carers, families and staff, we would like to hear from you!

The successful candidate will be based at Headquarters, Northampton but will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the whole charity; this will include some cross-site working. There’s no doubt that this is a demanding role, working in a very fast paced environment, however for the right individual, this would be a very rewarding role and one which you could really make your own.

We offer an excellent benefits package including pension, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, sickness policy on par with NHS, life cover, car lease scheme, cycle to work scheme and opportunities for continuing professional development.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact James Farrelly, Senior Recruiter on 07827856634 or via email: jcfarrelly@stah.org

Interested? We would love you to apply!

Closing Date: Sunday 13th April 2025

Interviews: Will be held on 24th April or may be sooner once suitable candidates have been identified so an early application would be encouraged.
